It’s been a minute since we last heard from Brooklyn collective Phony Ppl (excluding Dyme-A-Duzin’s solo ventures) but today we get something new with Baby, Meet My Lover. The track is taken from DJ Kitty Cash’s Love The Free mixtape which is set to drop December 11th.

THROWBACK THURSDAY: Da Bush Babees – The Love Song (ft. Mos Def)

Released in 1996, The Love Song by Native Tongue-affiliates Da Bush Babees is taken from the Brooklyn trio’s classic Gravity album and features a very early Mos Def, before the Black Star days singing the hook.

MUSIC VIDEO: Joey Bada$$ – Hilary Swank

After getting #HilarySwank trending worldwide on Twitter, Joey Bada$$ unleashes the video to the Dwele-sampling Hilary Swank, which features performance footage as well as some throwback clips of the Pro Era crew including the late Capital STEEZ. The Brooklyn MC is set to re-release his Summer Knights EP with a couple bonus tracks bundled in via iTunes on October 29th. RIP Steez.

NEW TRACK: Smif N Wessun – Solid Ground (ft. Junior Reid)

Brooklyn duo Smif N Wessun release the first single from their upcoming reggae EP, Solid Ground, with dancehall legend Junior Reid on the hook. The 6-track EP titled Born and Raised is solely produced by Beatnick & K-Salaam and is due December 3rd.
